Our Story
Good Samaritan Action was founded by Christine Niyintunze and was born from a vision that became a calling to serve those facing life's greatest challenges.
One night, while sleeping, Christine received a vivid vision. In the vision, she found herself standing on a mountain. As she looked down into the valley below, she saw a person struggling to climb upward alone. The person appeared weary, vulnerable, and unable to overcome the obstacles before them without help.
Moved with compassion, Christine stretched out her hand toward the person in the valley. She took hold of their hand and began helping them climb upward toward safety, hope, and a better future.
When she awoke, the meaning of the vision became clear. The mountain represented hope, purpose, opportunity, restoration, and God's calling. The valley represented poverty, sickness, loneliness, hunger, financial hardship, and the struggles many people face every day.
Most importantly, the outstretched hand represented compassionate action.
